I planted all my leafy greens and lettuces yesterday in the evening. All together there are 42 plants, some of which are kale. I also planted 6 brussel sprouts. This is my first time growing lettuce and I’m excited because we eat so much of it. This morning I checked on them and they seem to be doing very well still considering it’s been so windy. I put together a cover with some cheesecloth to protect them from the strong sun since they are just trying to get acclimated to their new home outdoors. Today I spent a majority of my day staining more of the fence and tomorrow I plan on working some compost into some of the beds and set up some irrigation in the front section of the garden.
